Today, at 11:00 US EST and 17:00 CET, the British Council’s TN2020 is co-hosting an event in Rome entitled “On the Edge of the Net: Expanding the horizons of the web in Italy, the UK and America.” The event will be livestreamed on the blog here, and on the US Embassy website; you will be able to join in the conversation and submit questions to the panelists. Italian TN2020 member Elena Donari will be live-tweeting the event - you can follow her at @Elena2020. We’ll also be tweeting from, and taking questions via the @TN2020 account.
The panel will discuss net neutrality - implications, challenges and innovations in the US and Europe. TN2020 members Wil Stephens, UK (BAFTA award-winning digital producer, founder and Chief Executive of Cube) and Matthew Guilford, USA (City of Chicago’s Digital Excellence Initiative) will be on the panel along with Marco Montemagno, Italy, (cofounder of Augmendy, Codice Internet and cofounder and CEO of Blogosfere.)
The event is co-hosted with the US Embassy and British Embassy in Rome, along with RENA - Rete per l’Eccellenza Nazionale.
